Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine recognizes the fact that medicine is a highly complex and diversified field and students should have a freedom of choice, with the advice and consent of their advisors, to plan electives that will enhance their educational experience and help them to achieve their individual career goals.

This catalog contains descriptions for student electives. Students who are making satisfactory progress are free to select any of the programs listed in the catalog but need not limit themselves to these alone. Other programs, particularly student-initiated, can be arranged.
